Holding Joy End of Life Supports
I’m Jeanine, a trained Reiki Master, End of Life Doula and Funeral Arranger based in The Hunter Valley, NSW, with my business Holding Joy, supported by Picaluna.
I’m committed to serving my community, and is now honored to be supported by Picaluna, working to create memorable and respectful tributes for people within my local community.
My roles allow her to offer holistic and compassionate care, with practical support to individuals and families with planning as a Funeral Arranger, as well as support throughout the end of life process as an End of Life Doula, aiming to ensure that the transition is as peaceful and meaningful as possible.
With a background in the disability sector, I developed an understanding of person centered support, which now inspires my work, focusing on helping people experience a dignified and personalised end of life process.
With my practice Holding Joy, I offer supports both as an End of Life Doula and as a Reiki Master, with Reiki sessions available both in person and via distance. Reiki has a calming effect on both the person receiving as well as their environment, which can be much needed in times of stress.

I work in partnership with Picaluna Beautiful Funerals. Picaluna is a community of like minded people, helping families to create more authentic, compassionate and affordable cremations, burials and memorials.
Picaluna felt that there was a much better way to conduct funerals, and are changing the way funerals are done for the better. This change is underpinned by their core purpose to help communities to honour, mourn, celebrate, heal and rejuvenate. Picaluna also chooses to donate 5% of their Service Fee to a charity of the family’s choice. The Picaluna partnership supports me/us in the logistics required to arrange and conduct a funeral; including transfers, registering the death with Births, Deaths & Marriages, access to a vast range of suppliers, mortuary care, and invoicing.
